Introduction
This policy forms part of our group integrated management system.
We are committed to reducing the risk of injury and ill health to anyone who could be harmed by our activities through the operation and continual improvement of our integrated management system.
Safety Objectives
Through our group objectives programme we maintain specific, measurable, actionable, results-based and time-bound safety objectives.
Health & Safety Risk Management
Our comprehensive risk management programme identifies internal and external threats to physical, environmental and psychosocial risks, which we mitigate and continue to monitor.
Legal, Contractual & Other Requirements
As a responsible and progressive company, we are committed to complying with all relevant legislation, contracts and any other requirements we have subscribed to including trade bodies and codes of conduct. We manage these requirements through our legal register which is updated regularly by our information services team.
Health & Safety Awareness
To ensure that all relevant staff, customers and third parties are aware of our health & safety procedures, and their particular responsibilities within them, this policy is communicated and supported by regular awareness and training activity.
We also provide specific training for emergency first aid, fire wardens.
Wellbeing
As part of our commitment to our employee’s health and wellbeing, we’ve launched three initiatives that are completely free for our employees to use: the Headspace App, Tell Jane Anonymous HR Helpline, and three fully trained Mental Health First Aiders.
Continual Improvement
We are committed to the continued improvement of our risk based IMS to grow the company in a sustainable and responsible way.
